A medium sized grass forming bold clumps of flowing stems & foliage. Yellow to golden brown in colour. After rain the entire plant is covered in a myriad of droplets.Tolerant of light shade, exposed positions and dry conditions.

Dense tufted plant with arching, wide spreading foliage. Seed from a good rust red coloured population. Flowering stems same length as leaves, elongate as seed matures, up to 2mts & sprawl over the ground. Grows in dry & coastal conditions.

Broadly spreading, deciduous. Attractive pin pea-like flowers in clusters along the old shoots, branches and trunk before, and as, the leaves emerge. Natural habitat in moist woods. Predominantly used for rootstock for budding 'Forest Pansy'

Endemic to NZ in milder higher rainfall areas. Usually single stemmed with narrow arching leaves to 2m long. Large open panicle of scented white flowers, followed by blueish-white round fruits.
