N America. A hybrid of P. orientalis x P. occidentalis. Broadly columnar, deciduous. Trunk often continuous right through the crown. Bark flakes in large plates. Leaves up to 25cm across. Withstands city pollution. Good furniture timber.

P. euramericana x nigra. Narrowly columnar, deciduous. Branches short and at a steep angle, offering an alternative type of narrow crown to the old rust affected Lombardy poplar. Tolerates dry windy sites. Bright yellow autumn colour. Cuttings 40cm, Rooted topped @ 1m.

P. deltoides x yunnanensis. Broadly columnar, deciduous. Very vigorous. Not suitable for exposed sites due to large leaf size. Better in gullies & valley floors. Later yellow autumn colouring than other hybrid poplars. not very frost hardy. Widely used in western and northern regions, possum resistant. Timber density 360kg/m3, equal to P. radiata. Cuttings 40cm, Rooted topped @ 1m.
